We spent some time on the phone with Uriel, the Marketing Manager for "Realtors Puerto Vallarta". On top of Uriels, great personality, we were impressed with the company's "marketing-first" approach. Being that they only deal with properties over USD $500, this approach is important. There are far too many brokerages out there that over-promise but under-deliver when it comes to marketing. These folks are very clever and make sure that their properties are seen by their target demographic.
If you're selling we highly recommend getting in touch with them to see how they would do better than their competition.

First of all; we love that JRE is open on the weekends. Know that all the winners on this list truly are great, regardless of their position on this list. But if you can only find time to go see houses on weekends, this is the team for you.
We spoke with Mariana, who was very easy going and broke down their operations for us. She explained that they have 8 buyer reps and their representatives only work with one client at a time in order to ensure personal service.
We liked this company's attention to their google page and social media. They care about building and maintaining a solid and visible reputation. In our experience, these are not only the companies to work with today, but for years to come, as they are focused on the long-term, not short-term wins.

Ok so, you’re a US citizen and want to buy a pre-construction condo in Mexico during a pandemic!! I’m here to tell you that it was one of the most challenging adventures we have ever embarked on and we could not have done it without the help of our amazing realtor, Hector Garcia (and we’re not first time home buyers). From the very start he was hands on in every aspect of the buying process, always answered our calls and questions with in minuets no matter what day or time. We had a conversation with Christie, one of the owners. And to be Frank, it was a conversation and a debrief worthy of first place on this list. Christie treated us like she would a million dollar buyer (we assume). Even though she has a team of 7 people to manage and deals of her own to close, she spent time explaining what sets Mexico Life Realty apart from other brokerages. But really, she didn't need to. We felt it just in the way we were treated.
When we asked them what the biggest mistake someone could make when buying in PV, Christie explained that a buyer should look up the AMPI (Asociacion Mexicana de Profesionales Inmobiliarios) accreditation of the company they're thinking of working with and speak to past clients, rather than pay attention to facebook recommendations, which can be popularity contests or paid referrals (agencies pay active FB users to recommend their agencies).
We thought this a very logical and insightful response that could help people save thousands if not millions.
And while we may be biased on this last point, this firm is owned by Canadians. And who doesn't like polite Canadians?!
